What are the Stemmy's?

The Stemmy Award created by the students of P.S. 5 that honors the contributions to the field of education that impact the lives of children. Movies have the Oscar, music has the Grammy, television has the Emmy, and education now has the Stemmy. A committee of students reviewed the biographies of nominees and selected the honorees for this student-run celebration.

The students created the Stemmy title by combining the ST representing their preparation work for state test and the title Emmy for excellence. The Stemmy Award recognizes, promotes, and motivates educational excellence.
